We Actually Care. (Like… really.)
Hey there, potential future team member, Jack here.
Music changed my life. It kept me out of trouble growing up, gave me purpose, and opened doors I didn’t even know existed. Everything I do today is my way of paying that forward.
That’s why I built Level Up Music School (our local community hub) and OnlineGuitarSchool.com (our global online academy). When I started, I asked myself one simple question:
“If I could go back and learn music from scratch, knowing everything I know now, what would I want those lessons to be like?”
My answer was clear:
Fun. Engaging. Life-changing.
A safe place to express yourself.
A place to connect with people your age.
A place where music feels exciting, not intimidating.
So that’s the vision everything at Level Up is built on, every program, every class format, every event, every teacher hire.
And if you’re here reading this, it means there’s a chance you might be part of that vision too.

At Level Up, performing is part of the journey.
We give kids and adults real opportunities to showcase their progress at:
🎸 annual concerts
🎤 open mic nights
🎶 community events
🤝 student collaborations
These performances build confidence, stage presence, and a sense of accomplishment that goes way beyond the lesson room. Nothing motivates students like seeing themselves on stage doing something they never thought they could do.

Our one-of-a-kind Rockstar Roadmap System keeps kids inspired, challenged, and excited to level up. They begin with the simple “Starter Badge” and progress through a series of fun, structured, and expertly designed levels.
This system gives them clarity, motivation, and a real sense of achievement — all while learning solid fundamentals the right way.
For adults, every lesson plan is customized to their goals, pace, and musical tastes. Whether they want to master chords, solo like their guitar heroes, or finally play their favourite songs, we build the ultimate learning experience around them.

We’re big believers in teamwork. Students learn faster, and have way more fun, when they learn with others.
That’s why we incorporate:
🎸 group lessons
🥁 band workshops
🎤 ensemble projects
🎉 community events
Kids learn communication, leadership, and social confidence.
Adults meet like-minded musicians, make friends, and get to be part of something bigger than “just lessons.”
Collaboration turns music into a community, and that’s where the magic happens.

All of it.
You enjoy a stress-free, professional teaching experience, while we fill your schedule and handle the entire business side.
You get to focus 100% on teaching, retention, and helping people grow, and you get paid reliably for it.

To summarize, joining Level Up family means:
1. A Full Schedule—Year Round
Students move, change schools, or take breaks. That’s normal. But at most schools, teachers are left with gaps for months. Not here.
We invest heavily in marketing and advertising all year long, not just in September like most schools. We spend thousands (5 digits) every year to ensure our teachers stay busy, supported, and fully booked, even during “slow” months from May to September. While other schools are closed for the summer, we're making things happen with events and camps!
2. The Extras Are Handled — You Just Teach & Inspire
Our full-time admin team handles everything:
- scheduling
- payments + collections
- onboarding
- parent communication
- concert logistics
- day-to-day operations
You shouldn’t be bogged down by admin.
Your job is to teach, inspire, and help students grow, we take care of the rest.
3. Your Time Is Respected — Always
You get paid whether students show up or not.
- Student sick? Paid.
- School trip? Paid.
- Holiday? Paid.
- Student doesn’t pay their bill? Still paid.
We protect your income and your schedule so you can focus on excellence, not attendance.
4. We’re Selective — Because We’re Building a Family
We don’t just hire anyone who can play an instrument.
We invest in people who will thrive in our culture.
Every potential teacher goes through:
- a live performance review
- a detailed, honest conversation-style interview
- a criminal background check (you’ll work with kids and vulnerable adults)
- a reference check
Not to gatekeep, but to make sure both sides feel at home.
You’re joining a family, and we want it to be the right fit for everyone.
5. Laid-Back Atmosphere, High Standards
We’re warm.
We’re friendly.
We laugh a lot.
Some would even say we’re “high-class hipster” and we’ll take it.
But behind the fun, we have seriously high standards.
We want every teacher here to be a rockstar instructor, because our mission is to help create little rockstars.
Our motto is simple:
“Have fun while being the best.”
We’re excited to meet you.
We’re excited to learn about you.
And we’re excited to see if you’re the next person to join our growing, passionate, unstoppable team.
See you soon. 🎸🔥
